A Vegan Matcha Latte That Doesn't Taste Like Seaweed
I’ve been trying to find a matcha recipe that didn’t taste like seaweed. And after weeks of trying and failing, I finally have one to share with y’all!
This is 100% customizable so if you don’t like cinnamon, for example, sub it for nutmeg or eliminate it altogether. The collagen peptides make it extra frothy while the milk cradles the matcha while bringing out the warming flavors of the spices.
Ingredients
1 tsp matcha
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, ground allspice and ground cardamom
12 oz hot water or hot non-dairy milk (I’ve been using macadamia nut milk)
Optional: 1 serving Vital Proteins collagen peptides
Put all of the ingredients into a blender that can handle hot liquids or a large coffee mug. Then blend or whisk until all the ingredients have been combined (though some of the spices will inevitably settle on the bottom.)
Drink it up!
